Anti-Money Laundering & Know-Your-Customer Policy

1. Purpose
Moneytree, Inc., operating as AWASHDIRECT LLC ("Moneytree"), maintains an Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") and Know-Your-Customer ("KYC") program designed to identify, prevent, and report activities that may relate to money laundering, terrorist financing, or other unlawful activity. The program is consistent with the Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA") and applicable U.S. financial regulations.
2. Regulatory status
AWASHDIRECT LLC is registered as a Money Services Business (MSB) with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), Registration Number 31000291563373. Moneytree also holds a state money transmitter license issued by the State of Idaho, License Number MTL-88. 3. Customer identification
Before activating an account, we collect and verify identifying information including, where applicable:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Government-issued identification document
- Country of residence
We use third-party identity-verification providers and additional checks (including sanctions and watch-list screening) as part of this process.
4. Verification levels and limits
Customer verification level controls available account functionality and transaction limits. Higher verification levels require additional documentation and review. Limits and verification requirements are described within the Services and may change from time to time.
5. Transaction monitoring
We monitor account activity for patterns that may indicate suspicious behavior. Where appropriate, we may request additional information from a customer, restrict account activity, or file reports with regulatory authorities.
6. Sanctions compliance
We screen customers and transactions against applicable sanctions lists, including those maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). We do not knowingly provide services to individuals or entities subject to applicable sanctions.
7. Recordkeeping and reporting
We maintain records and file reports as required by applicable law, including currency transaction reports and suspicious activity reports where the relevant thresholds and criteria are met. Records are retained for the period required by law.
8. Compliance officer
Moneytree designates a Compliance Officer responsible for the design and ongoing operation of the AML/KYC program, including periodic risk assessment, training of relevant personnel, and independent review.
9. Customer cooperation
Customers are required to provide accurate information and reasonable cooperation in connection with our AML/KYC program. Failure to do so may result in restriction or termination of account access.
10. Updates to this policy
This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory expectations, or our operational practices.
